Location and Information The property is located within the town of Quesada, which is a half hour drive from Alicante or Murcia airports. It is only a ten minute drive to the nearest large town, Torrevieja, where you will find discos and nighclubs. Quesada is a beautiful town about one hour south of Benidorm. It is busy all year round, and has many restauarants and bars. There are also banks, chemists, doctors and shops. The town also has it's own golf course and an Aqua Park, which is a twenty minute walk from the house. There are private and public hospitals in Torrevieja. As well as Quesada´s own golf course, there are other professional golf courses right on the doorstep. All in Alicante , Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamar, not to mention the famous La Manga golf course. The local Aqua Park and surrounding open markets are open daily during the Summer months. For the photographers and wildlife lovers, at the nearby salt lakes close to Quesada there are an abundance of flamingos and other wildlife. There is also the famous Elche Zoo a few kilometers north. One of the greatest tourist attractions of Torrevieja, has always been its variety of entertainment for families and young people. There are over a hundred night bars, mostly around in the El Baluarte area in the La Punta district, which have become a major attraction for thousands of people from all over the world. Now the town Quesada, or Ciudad Quesada, is located on south facing slopes with commanding views over the salt lakes of Torrevieja, as mentioned above, one is an actual working salt lake considered to be the most important in Europe, the other being a nature reserve. Beyond them the Mediterranean sea glistens on the horizon. Further views take in the mountains and inland plains covered with orange and lemon groves filling the air with a delicate aroma in flowering seasons. Quesada is only a short car ride away from some typically Spanish towns in the Alicante region including Torrevieja,Guardamar del Segura, Elche (with one of Europe´s largest palm forests), Santa Pola, famous for its seafood, Alicante an exciting Spanish city and of course Benidorm to the north. There are over one hundred excellent beaches lining the coastline of the Costa Blanca, with over 40 of them awarded the blue flag for their excellent water quality and clean beaches. Remember Quesada is just 10 minutes drive from the blue flag Guardamar beaches and plenty of water activities if required! Below, a rough guide to sunshine and temperatures. |
